About Me

Mars Ackerman is an emerging film producer born and raised in Ft Lauderdale with a degree in Film from the University of Central Florida. 

During her five years in college, she dabbled in business, philosophy, and psychology, and has filled every possible position in every department on a small-scale film set. She plans to continue seeking new experiences and learning something new on each set, but ultimately, she’s fallen in love with producing.

Mars aims to be a pioneer in the industry by creating films that make you think, “How in the world did they do that?” And above everything else, she values workers’ rights in the industry and hopes to contribute to a future where creatives, unions, and studio executives are no longer at odds.
